We are a group of ambitious, determined, hard-working West Indian women who have overcome many obstacles and achieved much to pave the way to get to where we are and where we're going.
Our goal is to cultivate a network of inspiration, a movement to support each other and others starting with a blog. We believe that our experiences in school, work, travel, relationships, family, religion/ spirituality, finances, migrating, cooking, socializing and just plain ole passing time, can not only inspire the members of this group but other West Indian women who are trying to make it in this life.
Among the authors of this blog are West Indian women in various parts of the world, in a variety of professions from entrepreneur, social worker, scientist, law enforcement officer, banking professional, engineer, administrator, photographer, aspiring lawyer, teacher/ professor to linguist and more, with experiences that can make an impact on someone's life.

For the purpose of this blog, some of us are posting under pseudonyms and some as ourselves. We are blogging about our experiences as they arise, sharing advice and creating polls. We appreciate your feedback and comments as they too can provide inspiration.
